Micro 315 (impressive)

Post by Carnivorous »

Finally put the Micro 315 together last night and did a bit of shooting. :)

Cocking effort is a breeze on this bow compared to the other micros. This one can be cocked all day with no risk of injury.lol

Vibration and noise minimal after the shot due to the shorter stroke.

I had an extra trigger tech and it went in before I even shot the factory trigger. The trigger pull on this one is very light. The first shot surprise me a bit and that is a good thing.

Riser to rail fit is the best that I have seen. The machining of the mainframe and riser is excellent.

I am going to need to check the speed of this bow. The arrows are hitting the target really hard and burying just as deep as the Micro 335.

Overall I am very happy with this bow, it is easy on the body and fun to shoot. It will see its fair share of action shooting targets and hopefully a Turkey or 2 and maybe even a bear or deer...

I'd love to see some speed reports as well. 350 and 400 grain would be ideal.

Got some range time in with the 315. Hands down this is my all time favourite Excalibur to shoot. I bet I cocked this thing 50 times today.... :)

I shot my old foam decoy just for fun with the Magnus bullhead... I'm ready for Monday....

It's nice to have a bow that I can cock multiple times, is as compact as most compounds and will get the job done in the field.

Hey fokes. Just picked up my new micro 315 at Easthills outdoors. In Orono,Ont
paid $799.99 up graded the the scope to the tack zone for $99.00 bucks. The guys set it all up for me. They changed the field points to 100grwith factory arrows they were clocked at 327fps.the trigger is quite stiff with lots of creep. So I will be looking the to get a T&T in it some time soon other then that The bow is amazing light compact and easy to maneuver in the doghouse.

Do you know what the arrow weight is? That is very good speed, and not surprising, the 335 models were all exceeding 335 FPS.

There weight per inch in total is 9.9 so a 16-5" dart is 163.35 grains. using the
100 grain field point that's what they got for speed.
Not sure if that's a good weight for hunting deer or not?
