Re: Pattern on metal stock
Could you describe them? Where are they on the stock?

I uploaded one of the pics you sent. Seems like it is almost like a grease stain or something. Or some type of heat imprint from the forming process. Hopefully someone else who knows more could help!

Looks like machining coolant residue. I would try a scotch Brite pad in a small area first to clean it up. If that doesn't work you can always send it in for warranty repair...
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Personally, I'd just cover it with a stock.

Re: Pattern on metal stock
Maybe stock wasn't exactly perfectly clean before it went into the anodizing tank.
Part could have been cut from the beginning part of the aluminum extrusion that is a little bit harder being forced through the dies. Sometimes this makes weird patterns in the anodizing because the acid bath doesn't bite as deep and colour goes a bit off...
Either way it's not going to affect the performance of the xbow.
