Wish I had more information to share, but my daughter kind of caught us unprepared on this one. She wasn't due for a few more weeks, and had a baby shower scheduled for yesterday. My wife (her step-mom) and my mother & sister were going, so I decided to do the courtious thing and stay out of the way as this is usually a women-only type event. I scheduled a day afield thinking the woods might help keep my mind off all the fun I was missing

. I came home in the afternoon, unable to withstand the boredom any longer

, and my mother told me the shower had been cancelled - my daughter was in the hospital & had the baby! Mom's getting a little forgetful in her older age (she's 91) and couldn't remember all the details, but the baby was a girl, weighed 5 pounds - something ounces, no idea what her name is, and both mom & baby are doing fine.
I hope to get more details today, but have to work this morning, then take my son (age 4) to gather walnuts this afternoon, and have to help my wife make jelly from the 2 bushels of wild grapes we picked yesterday afternoon. At this rate the grandaughter may be a few days old before I even meet her

Grandkids are the best i have 10 and now that i am retired we do it all[ ifshing,hunting,camping] you name it we get to the woods to do it.
