Which make it quieter?
Do the Air brakes help the limb's life span any?
Thanks for any replies.

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers
I can't speak for others but i have REDS, air brakes, and the dbkiller limbs on mine and i absolutely love how quiet and sturdy it feels when shooting my 350LE. I also wrapped my stirrup with a few layers of camo tape. The impact of the arrow hitting my rag bag is way more noticeable than the noise from my xbow.

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers
I found that the air brakes were just added weight to my bows. What did work was the REDS and brake pads on the limbs.

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers
String bumpers for me... I have 2 bows with D. Miller BB's, and my gen. 2, Micro 335 wears a set of DB Killers. They all work well for me.
I had a set of Air Brakes that came in a "package" with a gen 1 micro. However, I passed them on before ever opening them. At that time there was some speculation they may have been adding to the problems causing limb issues on some higher stress models ?
I'm pretty sure they did not contribute to any of the issue those limbs displayed.... as they later decided the limbs had been overheated in the camo application procsess.
By initially leaving them off, I decided I liked them that way... If you have a set? Try em, you may like em.

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers
Can anyone explain to me what those little knobbly things hanging off the side of the db killers do? I am skeptical.

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers
So that's kind of an obvious answer. I was hoping someone might have some insight into the actual function. Marketing is one thing, but how do they actually work? They are too light to store much kinetic energy.Boomer81 wrote:Absorb vibration.Shadytree wrote:Can anyone explain to me what those little knobbly things hanging off the side of the db killers do? The metal pads that the rubber is attached to on the air brakes is very heavy.
I took the rubber pads off and attached them direct to the support bars .
Just glued them into place.
Function fine and they've done a good few hundred shots..
Using them with a complete Dr Stirrup set up .
Friends were saying how quiet my bow is.
