matrix limbs on the Micro 355, possible?

Post by Dominic »

Hi guys,
just want to ask if somebody tried out to put matrix limbs on a micro355. I had an limb issue in april after 200 shots. Fired it with 400grain. Never dry fired it or anything else. Just happend while i cocked the bow. Perhaps the matrix limbs works better but it will also make the crossbow slower. Does anybody know how much fps it will it be slower with matrix limbs? Or is it possible to order only a riser from a micro315? I really love my micro but the limb issue with it makes me headache.

I spect you would lose 45 fps goin to the Matrix limbs. 315 Riser is same as the 335 n 355 Risers

Thanks for the answers. Is there a other way to take the stress out of the limbs? My string is 1cm away from the REDS, that is about 2/5 inch.

Interesting, do you know if the riser pockets require machining to fit the Matrix limbs?

No but it is a bitch getting the string on. I was just simply doing it to see if they would attach, once they did, it drew back so stupid easy I knew I would have to aim higher, But to my surprise that 30 yard guess for my aiming point was dead nuts. I was aiming for the eyeball on the elk and it was dead on.

I am not saying I would even consider using the micro with Matrix limbs, but you can see from this it is awfully hard to make any recurve inaccurate,,, they just shoot anything. I have changed limbs between my 330 and my 380, and both bows remained dead on and shot within 5 fps of what they did before the swap, I have changed strings from 3 different makers and 2 different materials,,, same thing dead on from where they were before the change.

But I posted this because "I don't know" should have been the response instead of "this is not possible" its posts like this leaves doubt about people having problems they swear they didn't cause!

Thank-you for the explanation and I now stand corrected.
I thought the Matrix limbs would not fit into the riser cutout. First I should have used out my calipers to check the dimension limb and pocket dimensions before posting.

Ah I see, like I said this was just a what does it take to make these bows not hit what you aim at moment, just had to see what would happen,, as stated I would not run matrix limbs on a Micro, but you can do it, wonder of it would void the warranty,,,, But seriously I would have the 380 Mad Max or the custom 350W as a backup if I was on a hunt I would have to worry about such a thing,,,,,

I'm sick of buying backup limbs, as all that has done so far is after watching them just set there unused end up building a bow like I did the 350 because I can't stand having them for nothing,,,,, they just end up costing me too much to have around,,,,,

FooFoo is right, I had a defective one too. I got a new one on replacement. But I must've been doing something wrong
