Square your arrows with vanes on

I cannot use my G5 sq tool on my arrows because i have vanes on the arrow.Lumenocks says to sq the nock end of arrow ..

Any ideas there on this?

I'll post a pic of a simple jig I made. It's "shade tree" but works fine. As soon as I get home

Do you guys square the nock itself when installed? Or just the shaft before?

Trigger tecs,leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.

I always square the front insert after first building arrows or any time I switch from field points to broadheads. I never square the nock but I do square the rear of the shaft if I'm using Lumenoks.

Now you tell me on G5..My lumenocks are fine they light good and easy to put into my GT 425 arrows ..

Same here, I like the ability to square a fletched arrow. I've noticed when practicing with lumenoks on carbons, after a while the little wire contacts can make indentions in the ends of the shaft and can cause issues (flickering, weak light etc) and re-squaring the nock end fixes this right up.

Ive been making arrows for years l always thought the squaring stuff was for like for olympic archers now i saw the burt coyote video n ordered one today ......you guys are always costing me money on this forum....lol just one more step in the accuracy dept. Of shooting a crossbow. Thanks for the tip.
