Bolt Setup for 335 Micro

Post by Travis1985 »

Hey guys I just bought a Micro 335 yesterday and am placing an order for some accessories. While I'm at it I'm gonna go ahead and get some new bolts and broadheads. I'm looking at the BEE at 16" that are sold on Amazon and the 125gr Slick Trick Mags. Will that setup put me around 380gr. I'm not real sure what the 16" bolt setup you can buy off amazon weighs. Thanks!

Zombie Slayers or Spynal Tapps will shoot best in the 335. I would get em from Big John or Boo if I lived in Canada,,, or Jerry at South Shore Archery Supply if I lived in the states,,,, the Executioners will shoot good, but the Zombies and Tapps shot better in mine. That high poundage little bugger like stiff spined arrows!!

16.5" with 110 inserts and 100 or 110 grain heads were what did best fer me, that was around 385 to 410 grains fer me, I liked the 410 grain the best.

Fine, that will put you around 400 grins. A word of caution when buying arrows from Amazon, or stock arrows from any place really is that the vanes are usually straight and not installed with the best adhesive in my experience. For around the same cost you get much better results from the custom arrow makers. Better yet is to get some tools to fletch your own, and learn how. You'll enjoy it, trust me! Yes buy custom. It'll cost you MAYBE $1 more per arrow. But you'll have perfect arrows

So it seems that Jerry from South Shore is the way to go for custom Zombie Slayers?

I got my Micro bolts from Wyvern. 16.5" Gold Tip Laser II with 2" Blazer vanes using 100 gr Carbon Express XT4 broadheads gives me a total weight of 377 grains.

im sure these custom bolts are all great but my 335 stacks them right in there even out to 50 yards. plenty good for hunting. i was going to go custom at one time but decided to stay stock as i could just drive to the archery shop and grab more if i need and know they are the same as i have been shooting.
