I hear ya!!! None of our archery clubs will let crossbows shoot there. It hurts the targets or our insurance won't allow it. Bunch of crap!!! We still can't hunt with our crossbows during archery, we have to use them during rifle season. But in order to get your crossbow license, you have to take an Archery course!!! Just plain stupid!!

My main point of this thread is that these clowns were trying to throw me off a public range but they couldn't because I know the rules. Yes they have a crossbow agenda but I don't care. If your using a public range KNOW THE RULES!!

Don, there's a solid two days I'm there before the official Boofest opener. If you agree to sit beside me IN YOUR TRUCK and hold my cold drink, well heck, I'm willing to give it a try!

Which part? The north or the south? Lol

And thankfully I haven't run into that problem but Im also a member at the local range too and although I'm the only crossbow shooter there so far, everyone has been cool. In fact, I've gotten a few people to try it too.

They also rubbed off on me a little because I'm also shooting a compound again.

Kinda funny when those who don't know me see me walk in with both and shoot them back to back :-)

The real fun was last week though when i did the 3d shoot with my excal. Only crossbow on the course and I was shooting with compound shooters.

Had a blast and lost three arrows in the process

I didn't think you had much to apologize about, or even delete.

Now, if you had made a series of posts suggesting that lumpy pampers would make good bear bait, now that would be a different matter. If you did that, the procedure should be - first delete, then apologize, and follow that up with harakiri.

Minnow, you're a rascal. I'm not going back into that adventure again.

If you really want to know, ask your bear hunter friends.

Oh the turns & twists a post makes!
People do think they have certain rights on PUBLIC LAND, and I think everyone here got that message, that's a good thing. I do want to see Paul shoot the crossbow out of the window still though!
