We went out to get stands up, 4 of them now, and pull trail cam cards. We have deer! :D No bucks however showed up, but we do have pics of 3 fawns, so the does are getting bred. We have 5 small wooded parcels, and one is way out there, we have not stepped foot in it, and plan to keep that sacred until mid November as a sanctuary for the deer, hoping it pays off. I'm good taking Doe for the freezer, and have a fair amount of anticipation going into the season. Not sure if this will become a long term lease, but hopeful non the less. The best part is that i have a few great contacts. Glass is half full folks!

So where are you plannin on lettin me set up the pop-up ?

On a serious note.... Either sex elk tags are over the counter but you'll have to bring your verticle bow unless your disabled to hunt in the archery season ( Prime Rut is during this early Sept season. ) 8)

There's room in camp for you Dan and season opens Sept 10th... Non Resident Deer, Elk bear and cougar, $860..... It runs$739 for non-resident Deer and Elk....Just Elk runs $497.. and I'll provide all but your Air Fare, tags and lisence, bow, arrows, camo and tooth brush.

xcaliber wrote:I just got the lease on a sweet piece of hunting property. The price was right, 5 parcels of woods with crops bordering all of them, and a small pasture secluded in a spot of around 8 acres. Total land is 300 acres. We are allowed one more person on the lease, but so far there is just two of us splitting it. Only downside is the drive is 1.7 hours. I'm trying to get the pieces right so i can drive out tomorrow to check it out. I found this on Basecamp Leasing!
So happy right now, pictures look promising for some good hunting, and the Apprentice can turkey hunt too in the fall, and spring. :D :D

This is a scanned pic. So pumped about getting out there to check it out!
