I paid $280.00 for mine 2 years ago. No way they have doubled in price.

The most I've seen them for is $279 USD...and I believe that's the MSRP. So the price they gave you is the USD MSRP, plus 30% to cover the currency exchange. Not getting ripped off, but not getting a deal by any stretch.

I got mine on eBay and paid $190 USD brand new.

There is one in classifieds a LOT cheaper and it is nice (I used to own it). It still carries a lifetime warranty also.

Buying Leupold scopes from Canadian dealers is a complete rip-off and they know it. They jack up the prices because they know we are not legally allowed to buy them in the states and bring them back to Canada according to the US border patrol.

Thanks Anthony for the link
Considering our Canadian payso $355 is not too bad.
seems like the best deal I can find. as most places are charging for $479 to $499. How well can you see
just at the end of legal shorting time?

As already stated, you cannot compare prices here in Canada compared to the U.S, in Canada you must make sure you buy some lube before going to the store to buy a scope, because you know your gonna have to bend over and take it up the wazoo.

Korth Group ltd.is the only Canadian Leupold importer, so they can do as they please on price since they have no other competition.

As already mentioned, it's illegal to purchase a scope in the US and bring it to Canada without an import license, so again they have us by the balls.

Sure, many people take a chance and bring them over from the US illegally, but keep in mind that all Leupold scopes have a serial number, and should your Leupold scope ever needs servicing under warranty, and it was not purchased from an authorized Korth dealer, you will have to pay for the repair, Korth will not honor your warranty.

They are doing that here on Mini split air systems for your home..you can get 12,000 btu unit off e bay for 1500.00 but Mistibushi will not warranty it unless you buy it from dealer..Dealers charge 3500.00 and they get units for 1200.00..
