What bow are you shooting :?:
Although they may be accurate they may not be practical. :?
A 20" arrow is fine out of my Vixen...but would be a pain in my Matrix. :(

I find that you want the bolt to be long enough so you can not get your foot in the stirup with out hitting the bolt , that way you can not uncock the bow and drive a bolt through your foot, and short enough to not hang out past the front end of the stirup and get caught on stuff , just my opinion.
I also opt for a heavy bolt set up over light ones.

The 20" arrows shoot great, that's not the issue. What I've found to be a royal pain is when is you're sitting in a blind you can't rest the bow on the stirrup with the arrow sticking out beyond it.

Matrix 355 is my first crossbow. I shoot 20" BEE with slick trick broadheads, weight is 428grs(same with field pt). I also will limit my shots to 40yds. It will be first year hunting with the 355 and the 20"BEE so will see how it goes. The BEE are very accurate in my selected range, though an 18" is probably just as accurate to that range. I bought the 355 package with custom 20"BEE from Wyvern Creations length was recommended through correspondence with David. I thought I knew/know very little regarding crossbows so I went with the experts recommendation.

I shoot a 380 matrix. And I cut my arrows to 19 inchs for all the same reasons that gerald strine above mentioned. I don't think anyone would intentionally decock a xbow while leaving an arrow on the rail but after hunting all day and walking back to the truck in pitch dark, dead tired it can happen. So to eliminate just one more possible potential disaster I like to have the arrow tip about midway into the stirrup. This way my arrow will not protrude out past the stirrup and hit my treestand platform while I am sitting in the stand and my toe will bump the arrow out of the rail if I get careless and happen to forget its still in the rail when I decock. By the way the 19 inch arrows that I cut and use ( 2216 xx75's) fly excellent from the 380 at a total weight with 100 gr broadhead of 388gr.

FWIW, the Dr Stirrup stirrup takes away some of the danger of an arrow thru the foot plus the other advantages including easier cocking.
