Need advice on open sights for exomax.

Post by Zap »

I want to get some simple open sights for my exomax, already looked at mfo and they are nice but not what I am looking for.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have not been on here in a while and hope all are doing well!

thanks

There are some older models I seen that have a rear peep sight, Danny Miller would be a good person to contact.

Cheaper Than Dirt has them, #2294. Not a bad price either.

Factory fibre optic/peep set up is hard to beat.

See All Open Sight will mount on your scope mount for something a little different from factory peep. Just a thought

I did recently install the MFO sights on my Kodabow Scout with the tagged out insert, and it is lights out fantastic for an application that really does not utilize a range finder after initial sight in. Pricy, yes, built to last, YES! I got mine from David at Wyvern's, and it was worth the $$ in my honest opinion.

OK, I'm not pimping the Kodabow, but the sights are pretty darn impressive. I did not think i would like the tagged out with both sides marked of for ranging deer, or elk, but it really is not that intrusive. Nope, these are not pin point accurate like a scope would be, but free hand at 40 yards, and in to 20, is very nice. Worth the $$ folks if this is what you're looking for.

I'm a keep it simple kind of guy. I use stock Excal peep and fiberoptic green front sight on my Exocet. Have killed three deer all within 24 yds. With this setup. All deer died in sight of my stand. But that is what I like. Depends how simple you like your setup. All I can say is these simple sights work effectively and are sturdy.
Good luck and be safe.
