Any New Gear??

Post by Onetimeonly x--> »

Last year I pick up a couple of bow hoist ropes put out by Hawk. What I like is they have the rubber coated wire twist ties at the ends. So much quicker and quieter then a metal clip or carabiner. In the past I would just tie a rope to my bow. No more, will buy again.

So what new item or gear has impressed you that you would like to share with us fine folks here, thanks...

Well, I was so impressed with the way my Matrix 380 handled and shot last year and it's always pinpoint accuracy that I sold off my Micro Nightmare to partially fund a Vortex XBR scope for the 380 because the Hawke just didn't cut it for me in pre dawn light under a full canopy of trees. With the left over cash I used to resuppply myself with spine indexed Zombie shafts.

Then two days ago I see a person on another forum looking to sell his Matrix 380 and an installed Trigger Tech with a brand new Vortex XBR scope... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This is right up my alley .lol. :shock: :shock: :) :) So I offer him my Micro Nightmare that I had dipped in AP Snow camo with the stock scope and $150.00 cash as trade and we come to a deal. It works out for the both of us as we both get what we want :) ... The wife asks why do you need another bow exacly the same, so I tell her I need a backup just in case...LOL...We solidify the deal and am shipping out my end in the morning and he likewise... Now I have two of the best ( in my opinion ) Excalibur's bows topped idential with two fantastic scopes that can be dialed in like an HHA dial without having to mount an HHA... and they are bright and clear.... :) Only because of Excalibur's incredible customer service would I ever buy a used bow.. In fact I would never buy a used bow unless it's an Excalibur!! :wink: :wink: :wink:

Ps: used different color fonts to make it easier to read...lol

Hi Scott
Hey I have been meaning to contact you I picked up the older brother to your Remington 572 pump .22, I got a older field grade model most likely a 1950es production 572.
I have been fixing it up it needed a stock refinishing job the old finish was flaking away , I just put the last coat of true oil on about an hour ago and it is looking good.
It is a really fun .22

Anthony,
Remember one is none, and two is one.... So in my mind three is the right # to have for a backup.... :) :) :)

All kidding aside, If one goes down during a hunt, yeah sure it will be fixed by the guys at Excalibur, however, there still is downtime even if it's only two days. That's two days out of a weeks vacation during the rut... :) :) :)

Keep them all, unless replacing it with another one....

OK, I'll play.

I have a new TreeWalker Treestand; considerably lighter than my old API. I outfitted it with a bow holder from Third Hand Archery (Excaliber Dan's suggestion, and a great one).

This fall I have the new-to-me Matrix 380 my wife bought me for my birthday this summer and the Matrix 330 I won at Boofest 2016. Both are tack drivers.

All bows are zeroed, and ready for the start of our urban season in a month!

I got the same deal from Ebay. It is heavy, but very comfortable in the stand, and stable if you add the Third Hand Stabilizer Straps. I'll get pics of mine equipped with this setup soon on here. Basically, i removed all the factory stuff, and put these on. Locks on like the wife gripping the credit card! :lol: :lol:
