Should I keep my Matrix 380 Blackout or trade it for a Micro

I have a Matrix 380 Blackout that is pretty much new. Last year the Excalibur replaced the stock, limbs (they are super strong over 390fps w/350gr) and I traded triggers for a mega 405 trigger assembly with green trigger. It was shot by Woody's and they sent a note written on my original note to them, that it was shooting 376fps with a 400 grain arrow. Oh and they sent the arrow as well.

I had it chronoed by Bowhunters Supply Store (thanks Albert aka jrbowhuntr from AT) in Bowdon Ga, and it just got faster the more it was shot. lol The string still has not been completely shot in with only about 10 or so shots on it. Bloodtrail (from this forum) helped me get it close on sighting it in. And he can tell you, it is a beast for sure and beautiful to boot with that sweet Carbon Fiber look, like the Eclipse XT.

At any rate, I always seem to choose my Matrix 355 for shooting and hunting, so lately I have been thinking of trading for a Micro 355 and just have one of each in 355.

Those of you with a Micro 355, would you trade the Matrix 380 beast for a Micro 355 or not? What are any dislikes or issues with the Micro 355, if any? Please give me your thoughts.

BTW, I use a C2 Crank Cocking Aid, so poundage is a none issue.

I would go to the Micro. But I am a bit biased because I made the switch from Matrix to the Micro series when they came out and the Matrix bows look huge to me now...

Once you start using the Micro your Matrix 355 will probably not see much action..

X2 on this... Nothing wrong with the Micro series of bows, but I feel for me the 380 holds better, feels more stable on the shot and is a bit faster.... I actually just sold off both Micro's to fund another 380 and two Vortex XBR scopes....

I own a 380 Matrix and my son has the 355 Matrix...My 380 isn't going anywhere. To me its the perfect hunting bow. Super accurate with bone crushing power and just the right size and balance for me. Everyone is different but these are just my thoughts.

.....I have a similar problem in that I have both...Grassyknowl made me realize I need to keep both...I do love my tack driving 380 but "....BadaBing "is equally as awesome out to 70 yds in a nice smaller package!

Vic, I would keep that Hot Rod. Same arrows that you use with the 355 Matrix, hmmm. Or, you could PM me your price for the 380, and really push me into Divorce Court.

Thanks folks, my reason is a simple one. I have one stand that I hunt primarily facing the tree (I stay hid lol) and thought it might be beneficial to have a bit smaller framed bow. I owned a Micro Nightmare 335 for a short while, but never hunted with it, now I wish I had of hunted with it at least once.

However, I do love my M380 Blackout, it is a beast and a half for sure. And very sexy looking, especially if I put a Red string on her. But, I just can't help thinking of the Micro 355 lol. Heck I have lost count of the Excaliburs I have had, loved and sold etc. 6-7 at least, probably not as many as a lot of you, but for me that is a lot.

Should you get it ? Forget divore court and head out west.... Elk season starts here right around the middle of Sept. and since you would be packing a 380 you should be "Good to Go". I have a bed in the scamp that you should fit into.... the big ones mine.

Vic you have owned both the Micro n still have the 380. I had the Micro 355 n i have the 1st Gen Micro 3 fps in favor of the 355 wid same arrow Getstid anudder Nitemare go wid the flo n own the Micro!
