Exocet 165 shims

Post by ageless mind »

Hello everyone,
This weekend i will become the owner of an Exocet 165. having used heavier arrows with compound i want to the same with crossbow but not loose to much fps. ive been reading and now know i can upgrade the limbs and add shims.
Is it safe to assume that shims can not be bought? Does anyone here make and sell them?
if i had the extra money i would buy a bow that already has what I'm after. I think i got a good deal at $200 for the bow.

Thanks for any help

$200 sounds like a nice deal. Did you get a scope and quiver with that? I had a 165 once, kinda wish I still had it. I've seen a few hear and there just not sure what a fair price is on the old carve tip bows.

Open sights, not sure if it has a quiver. The seller is the surviving sibling with little knowledge. I was told the bow went to a shop for cleaning and new string.

Tim it won't be long and everyone will want an older style excal in there collection. I could really see some of the originals becoming collector items for Excalibur fans!

I just want to share my feelings thus far about this forum. I have been on and tried asking questions, start conversation on two well known outdoor and gun forums here in Michigan. Neither have been as respondent as this one.
As my reading went on through out this forum its apparent that these members are true sportsmen and sportswomen sharing with and helping others to become or enhance there knowledge on one of our greatest privileges.
Seeing this thread take off makes me smile, I'm glad i joined. Thank you

Three years ago I payed $450 shipped for my exocet 165 with scope and quiver mount but no quiver . At the time I thought it was a decent deal and it is a fantastic bow . $200 for one is a good deal . I have some mag tip limbs and other parts i will pm you about .
