Using a shorter bolt question

Post by ageless mind »

Looking at the riser on my exocet 165 there is the recessed pocket similar to an overdrawn, could i use a shorter bolt with a fixed blade broadhead providing i keep with the recommended bolt weight?
With a 20 inch bolt with field point is nearly the length of stirrup, just seems to be a lot of exposed bolt and broadhead?........curious.

You can easily shorten that arrow till the fixed broadhead sits in the riser cutout.

I shoot 16 3/16" zombies out of both of my 380's.. The back of the broadhead just sits inside of the front of the channel... No accuracy problems...

I have some 18 inch laser II set up for my newly acquired exocet 165. The rail on the 165 is actually 1/8 shorter than a bulldog rail by my measurements.
