Pulled the Trigger

Post by drobinette »

Pulled the trigger on a new Matrix 350SE from Al's yesterday. I finally convinced myself how good of an idea it would be to have a backup bow and coupled with the exchange rate, I could not resist any longer. Can't wait for it to arrive. This will be my second excal, along with a Grizzly. I wanted to say thanks to everyone here for providing helpful information about purchasing and maintaining these awesome bows. I may not post much on the forum but I do enjoy everyone's stories and insights, keep them coming! Good luck to everyone as they begin to head out into the woods in the coming weeks!

I bought one as soon as they came out from Al. A great dealer and a great price. You will love the bow.

Just a heads up for anyone else that is looking. There is a dealer selling the 350 on eBay now at the same price shipped in USA.

that ebay seller is funny selling the Matrix chopped up 405-s. one day they are 549$ next time there 949$ guess there just trying to get impulse buyers to bite because the next day or so they go back down in price. good sales trick  . for those that have the cut down Matrix 405 models (350) did Excalibur paint over or cover the cut shiny exposed aluminum on the rail? just thinking exposed aluminum subject to oxidation over time.just would be concerned on fit over time and how it bolts up. if the metal is exposed id at least hit it with aluminum primer or paint in the exposed areas.

Went and looked. Mine is covered over by the black cap they install. Can't tell it was painted over or not. But.. every Excal out there has had the rail cut to make it the needed length so I am sure they treated them all the same way.

Mine was painted, and the fit is perfect on mine.

Received my new 350 today and boy oh boy is it a sweet looking bow. Haven't put it together yet, but the Mossy Oak Treestand camo is awesome. I also like the cheek piece that came with it. Now I am looking for a cheek piece for my Grizzly as well. Shipping only took 5 days from Canada to VA. The price was unbeatable. I highly recommend anyone on the fence about getting a 350 to go ahead and get one while they last. Again, thanks to all for the great maintenance and shooting tips!
