Favorite Excal Model/s

Post by vixenmaster »

I have had the fastest n one of the slowest models Excal has made. For jus pure enjoyment of shootin because thats what i like to do n i can hand cock it the Vixen is my most favorite. Most of you don't like to shoot as often as i do or don't have the time wid life gettin in the way. I will be back to shootin 2000-3000 times a yr. I will wear out couple 2-3 bag targets or completely wear out a SpiderWeb target in a yr

I prefer shooting the Vortex to my 380,400,405. However since everything I do with a xbow has to do with hunting preparation or hunting. I actually enjoy shooting the 405 from 60-100 yds with practice FOCs.

I do love the way my 405 shoots but after 20 shots or so it is a little hard to pull back. I have never been a target shooter. For me its all about practice for deer. and my town has a no discharge law so no shooting in the back yard

I really enjoy shooting my 310 all afternoon. About as easy to cock as the Vixen and just a sweet shooting crossbow. :D

 If I had to pick a favorite and narrow it down to one  It would be my Matrix 355 wearing it's Leupold Crossbones scope.
