Hawke XB30 Pro Sr

Fixing to pull the trigger on a new scope for my bulldog 400, does anyone have ANY Negatives on this particular hawke scope? 24mm is awful small, just want to make sure it gathers plenty of light!

I own a bulldog 400 and a hawke xb 30 pro. Keep in mind there are different versions of the crosshsirs. Wyern creations has the most current version. I has to put hawke forward mounted rings to take care of eye relief issues. It fixed the problem

I have one on my BD, yes 24mm is small but don't forget the 30mm allowed better light transmission. I had to use Millett extended rings to get good eye relief. My buddy used weaver 30mm extended on his BD.

Which reticle is the new one? Really appreciate the help!

The new one has little crosshairs all the way down. The version before had a dot for 20 yards. The dot had a circle around it. The base of the circle was the 30 yard aiming point. It drove me nuts

I have one with each type of crosshairs..... the new crosshair model is by far the easiest to use. I'd be sure thats the model they ship.

Now mind you this is just taken with a camera with bow rested on my picnic table, but it will give you the proper reticle, I don't have a lip of the first generation XB-30 Pro non SR but it only had 6 aiming points total. The latest version of this scope is very good and has great light gathering, that will equal or exceed the Leupold, and Zeiss, and has usable illumination in very low light without washing out the target. The optics have improved with ever version upgrade of this scope, and it is my favorite crossbow hunting scope, I prefer it over my Vortex XBR Viper.
