Which mechanical broadheads fly the same as your field tips?

Thanks
Ron.

I have found out that schwacker ,spitfire (regular and maxx) along with the cabellas lazer strike 2 (made by nap basically a spitfire with an o ring ) all fly like a field point for me in all 5 bows with zombies or easton 2219s .The regular spitfire is what i use in most bows and i use the max in my 355 because its got a little more power. Im sure others will chime im but this is what works for me . I have shot about 20 whitetails using the spitfire so far since using the excaliburs .only lost one due to a bad hit on my part. All heads were 125 grain .good luck in your choice. Lbj

I like SPItFIRES 100 gr not new ones rear deploying .as for flying same as field points, no not for me but close .i use spitfire practice point not field points ..

field points will cover up problem with arrow .as soon as you got to hunting type point things change so i use Spitfire practice point that looks same as hunting points...they are around 9 bucks each i only use 1 ..

Swacker does a great job out to 40 yards for me.

Over the years I have tried/tested dozens.

I found that all of them flew the same as field points, at least out to 35 yards (the max I test to). That's the whole point of shooting mechanical s - they shoot like field points with little to no tuning.

But of course there is a trade off. You run the risk of a mechanical malfunction. The "eat up" energy in order to deploy. They will potentially penetrate less than fixed blades.

For its silence in flight, field point accuracy at long range and a 3" cut - the 170gn FOC is tough to beat as long as you have enough bow behind it.

Thanks for all the info.
I used 125 grain RamCats last year with my 330 and they are awesome and have the same poi as my target tips, but I am considering going to a mechanical.

Every year I buy a New to me mechanical broadhead and test it for sharpness, POI with field points and straightness . This year I'm testing a Dead Ringer Rampage 2 blade , 2 inch cut . Here's my honest impression so far . Out of the pack their sharper than Slick Tricks , Rage and swackers , Their the straightest broad head I've EVER screwed on ( Tried 6 different Dead Ringers ) a shaft . Did a 40 yd test to test for POI and the Dead Ringer hit within 1/2 " of my field points . The Band to keep them shut on release is very robust ! Can't see it ever opening until impact . Check em out !

I'm using Wasp Jak X (3 blade crossbow version of the Jak Hammer) and the Wasp Knife (2 blade) this year. These shoot exactly the same as field points to 50 yards. They spin perfect. Wasp mechanicals do use neoprene bands and I double band both for insurance shooting the Matrix 355. Incredibly sharp, easy to change blades!

Also they are made in my home state.

I'm shooting the dead ringer freak nasty 3 blade 2" cut and they fly great. They have a very thick band on them too! There will be blood!
