How much money are you sending downrange?

Post by Fullquiver »

I am sort of a cheapskate but also expect high performance from my equipment. I am shooting Rocket brand broadheads (American made not knock-offs) that I bought off e-bay for around $1.50 per head on GT Laser II shafts that I bought on clearance and put together myself for less than $5 per arrow. Plus I shoot my arrows with Ignitor nocks that I bought for $30 for two 3 packs off from another forum so I have around $12.50 into each arrow.

They perform very very well. They are very accurate and I haven't lost a deer since hunting with them. I usually have very short unnecessary (I normally watch them drop) blood trails, and when the blood trails haven't been super short They have been more than adequate to get the job done.

BTW I have one arrow broadhead combo that right now has been shot through 5 deer and is in the #1 shot slot in my quiver..

Well I shoot 2219's which I bought as part of a package of other archery items for 100 bucks. Part of that package include inserts and I bought aluminium flat nocks for 50 cents a piece and I have some razorback 5 brand nephew broadheads which were free. So I guess I'm at a 1.50 per arrow and that includes fletching. So as long as I'm not the worlds worse shot I'm good for a long time. Oh yea, they are as accurate as can be, at fifty yards I can hit a golf ball.

...and we all know he's probably right!
