Bugs don't bite me much. I have a ThermaCELL. Couldn't tell you where it is. But it worked well at the cottage for my wife.

Do they work in the wide open of a tree stand or are they better in a blind?

They are simply a heater with a tiny fan that heats up an insert soaked in repellant that keeps the bugs at bay. In a blind they would work best. They work well outdoors with no wind.

Early season savior. I used mine this morning. Never seen a deer react to it!

Thanks for all the input guys. I picked one up with a holster and refills on the way home from work today. Season opens a week from tomorrow here.

I really hate wearing a bug suit in the early season. It's always hot and limits field of view. :D
