Leupold Alumina flip covers

Post by Carnivorous »

I am about to hit the buy button for Alumina flip covers for my VXR 1x4x20 scope. I had a heck of time finding a company that would ship to Canada and for for less than $50.00. :(

Butler Creek plastic caps are an option but they will just end up breaking sooner or later.

If you use these I would like to hear from you.

I'm on my 4th season using the Butler Creek covers on our two VX-R's without issue.
Would I rather have the Alumina cover, of course, but the Butler's are inexpensive and work well.

I put the Aluminas on my 1.5x4 and love them. They are worth every penny.
I just need the standard eyepiece to complete my second set.

Sounds good Mike.

Buying them in Canada is insane. I seen the front cap for my scope up around $130.00+ TX and shipping. Ya I don't think so.. lol

I have been using them for several years. Best pop up caps I have seen. Do you not get eBay there? I buy all my stuff off eBay almost.

I've got the Aluminas on two different rifles, they're the best covers out there IMO. A little pricey but you only buy them once. Butler Creeks are ok, I have some of them too but I've broken more of them than I can count.

I have had excellent luck finding these used or in opened package condition on eBay and getting great deals. I have a set on all 4 of my Leupolds - to me they're worth it at a good price but they are expensive at retail prices. They have the 8) factor for sure. Lightweight and built to last - except the Leupold emblems which can pop off. I superglued mine on a few times.

These are the Leupold covers I just got from Anthony. They seem well made and so far I like them well. Imagine the same ones for a Crossbones work on "The Worlds Most Expensive Crossbow Scope". ( Long story and my fault) Ain't she purrdy ?!! :DImage

I have to agree, only issue i have with mije is both symbols fell off in the field. I contacted them about sending me two i could glue on. Was told to send them in they will replace them.
Advice would be to remove and epoxy them on before this happens.
