Article: Dealing With A Hunting Buddies Unexpected Death

Post by TheBig1 »

We're all tough to a certain extent whether we talk about things openly or hold things in until something within us breaks due to the strain.

I found this article and thought that it'd be a good read for all. Here's to enjoying another hunting season with our closest family and friends.

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

My best friend Terry passed away this past January. We hunted and even bought a joining farms. Me and Terry spent 47 years as friends. Sure do miss him I will carry a picture of him in my hat so he will be with on every hunt from now on.
God Bless,

.....I lost a close friend 14 years ago... He was 41 years old with twin 7 year old boys and a 9 year old daughter.... He was a CPA also so we shared more than hunting... He had heart issues....had just had 3 stents put in... Was at cardiologists office and just had a stress test done.... The doctor had cleared him to go back to work... He didn't feel right while waiting for the nuclear part of the test to come in... He walked back to the doctor and died in his arms...

..... I hunted a few years more and threw in the towel and gave it up...about 4 years ago my middle son said, "dad what would it take for you to get back into hunting?".... Half heartedly I said, " you have to get me a crossbow." .... For my birthday I got a Barnett Quad 400.... Which that November was sold for an Excalibur 380, later a 335 and now a Bulldog 400.....and,

..... As Paul Harvey would say, "now you know the rest of the story!"
