A view from the blind. 10-01

Post by GrassyKnoll »

It's 6:11 am and the weather is foggy, damp and with a slight drizzle. Still too dark to take a photo though. The wind is perfect and I'm sitting in a ground blind for the second time in my life since I've been hunting. I have stands set up on buck spots but I have to admit I like this ground thing. Nothing special, just some camo canvas draped in front of me and natural vegetation behind me. I took an earn a buck under 3" spike deer from this spot last week and figure I'll add a doe to fill the freezer so I can go after a couple nice bucks I have on camera. Here is a daytime shot of my makeshift blind

Be careful hunting from the ground. Everyone I know that has tried it after years of hunting in elevated stands is now a ground fanatic. Haha.

Actually, not in the pic is my fold up blind stool.. I leave the canvas out to get weathered and to keep it smelling fresh.. I use a few pinch clips to hold it up on branches.. The beauty of it is that it can go anywhere and be ready in two minutes... I am liking the mobility and portability too.. :) :)

Nice blind. All you need now is about ten squirrels playing tag.
