A dandy 9 point with my new Matrix 380

Post by Larry »

My first sit with the new Matrix 380 lasted about 15 minutes. Just after first light this past Sunday, a 9 pointer strolled in and gave me a broadside shot at 20 yards. After a double lung shot he went about 80 yards and went down for good. This is my biggest buck to date and I couldn't be happier with my Excalibur crossbow. I have never filled my archery tag so quickly. Not sure what to do with myself until gun season.

Congratulations. Would love to see some pictures. And let me suggest hunting the rest of the season with a video camera. Shooting and later watching video you shoot of bucks chasing does, making scrapes, rubbing trees, or just cruising around is great fun. Think of it as catch and release deer hunting.

I am more than happy to show off my buck. Let me talk to my kids and see if they can show me how to post a pic.
