Crossbow Season Over For Now

Post by way123hockey »

I got this little guy this morning. The shot was a bit far back. He was standing still broadside but jumped forward just as I pulled the trigger. A very good blood trail right to him at about 100+ yards. My buddy still has his tag so if we don't get anything during our rifle hunt I may get back out again with the bow later in the season.

Congratulations! Sorry you don't have more tags. When I read a post like yours, I feel for those who don't have the more liberal limits that a # of the southern states have. We only get 6 in Arkansas. At one time, maybe still, it was 1 a day throughput the season in Mississippi. Back to Arkansas, with archery, up to 6 deer can be killed but no more than 2 bucks. Sept 24-Feb28. Can be killed anytime during this time period. No daily limit. We Arkansans should appreciate our AGFC!
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Congrats Wayne, that's gonna be one tasty buck! I can't tell from the pic but is that the vortex on your bow? If so what'd you think?
