I was just browsing through Craigslist, looking at Excalibur and I came across a Buckmaster Maxpoint The ad states that it's the only compound ever made by Excalibur and it was sold by Bear. I was unaware that they ever produced a compound.

Re: Excalibur compound
I've got a couple of them, great crossbows. I picked one up from CL back in august dirt cheap. I Machined the mainframe back so I could fit a matrix Cub front end on it (matrimax) Shoots like a matrix 350. With the front end of my ibex on it I can cock it by hand and shoot it all day long, shoots like a vixen
On the other one even after 16yrs and more dryfires than I care to admit it will still shoot a 435gr arrow @ 317 fps. I can bolt the front end of the ibex (16" power stroke) on it and it will shoot the same arrow 314fps with no change of poi @ 25 yds. Last time I was @ Dans shop he had a maxpoint frame modified to accept the Stryker ls compound limbs. Hmmm... Maby he's working on the maxpoint 2.0.
