Installing the #1976 cheekpiece on a vixen 2

Post by longbow joe »

Image[/URL] l have gotten really fond of the vixen 2 after getting a spring turkey and now a doe with her the lowly 260 fps still blows thru a deer just as the bigger bows .The bow never really felt right without a cheekpiece and i took one off the matrix stock and found that it didnt quite fit correctly and left it alone. Today i said im gonna make it fit! So i went n got one and went into the garage ...thats also where the beer is... and got out the nipper pliers and did a little fine tuning with the dremmel and it really wasnt hard at all. It was just slow n easy so i diddnt trim too much .a 5 thirtysecond drill was perfect for the screw threads. Theres a couple of internal fins that need a trim too. So dont be afraid of trying it . The bow feels perfect now.
