Question for Micro 335 experts

Post by hockeyfodder »

I had an issue with my Micro 335 that resulted in new limbs and a modified riser being installed. Great service from Excal.
HOWEVER, I was out there hunting tonight and noticed that one of the dissapator pads was missing on my Micro. I had just seen a nice 6 point buck and fortunately in came through some thick stuff at 30 yards, not offering a shot.
Where the pad is missing there are two bolts sticking through about 1/8 inch that I'm sure would have damaged the new limb if I'd have fired it.
My question to the experts is:
If I removed the pad from the dissapator unit will it harm the limbs.
I want to know basically can I continue to hunt while I await the arrival of new dissipator pads.
Any input would be appreciated.
BTW I do have the Dr. Stirrup bumpers on the bow, still in good shape.
I hate to lose any time in the field right now as things are really heating up in our area.

Air brakes you mean?
If one pad on the air brakes is missing do not shoot it.

The rubber part of the airbrake is missing on the one side. I'm glad I noticed it as I was hunting and there were deer around me. I'm sure it would have damaged the limb had I fired it.
So I'm home and removed the airbrake on both sides.
Will it damage the bow or limbs to use it with them removed?

If you remove them and return it to stock you are good to go. Interested to hear if you notice a difference with them off vs on
