Bow disassembly for travel hold zero?

Post by lunghit »

My Matrix in the back seat of my truck takes up lots of space. I have to travel a good ways to one of my hunting spots and need to pack lots of equipment. I would like to disassemble the bow and pack it in a hard gun case. For you guys that take the bow down and reassemble do you find that it always holds a zero? I would always try to take a confirmation shot but would prefer if it stayed sighted in. Thanks

Just remove the 2 riser to mainframe screws and resemble in full confidence to maintain zero.

Great that's what I was hoping to hear. I have a nice single gun case that hold guns real tight. I'm sure I can fit the two pieces safely in that case.

I take my 310 apart all the time and store in a tactical case.
Never need to adjust anything unless I am swapping riser & limbs to shoot the 330 instead. Then I adjust scope 3 clicks down and one click left and 330 is dead on after adjusting speed dial to the proper dot of fingernail polish :).

I love it! A sweet shooting bow that I can shoot for hours without my back giving me grief. I bought it for hunting, but enjoy shooting it so much I practice all the time.

I was thinking of picking a 310 up. Well that or a 330. I want them all lol. I just reassembled my bow and took one shot at 20 yards and she was right on the money. It's going to be so much easier to travel now.
