Zombie paint wore off first shot?

Post by VTbowman »

I really didnt expect to see the graphics on my Zombie Slayers bolts to wear off after one shot into my 3D deer target. I assume with high speed comes higher friction but really? Shooting into my bag type targets they seemed fine.
Those that have removed the graphics off their zombies, what did you use thats carbon friendly?

Acetone and paper towels. Don't be shy with the acetone. I remove those useless graphics before ever building my arrows.

^ what Paul said. Bag does not cause friction that foam does. Much easier to remove from foam with graphics cleaned off. I strip all my practice arrows and leave hunting ones alone. That way I never get them mixed up.

Arrows look way better sticker-less...

Not to difficult to remove from 3D hard foam but some foam melt was left on the shafts. Ive seen this before on compound arrows too. Ive seen shaft graphics wear as well. Just over time.
Mine will be "naked" soon. Lol

.....However, they will have an element of "tackiness" to them, thereby making it more difficult to remove from the target, until the "graphics" and the underlying glue are "completely" removed...might be a little longer than you think!
