grouse wrote:Congratulations, and I love the pictures except for one thing. The muzzle of a rifle appears to be pointed right at a human being in at least one of the pictures. I'm sure you (and everyone on this forum) are safety conscious, but it caught my attention.
I have pictures of crossbows loaded pointing at person taking pics ..EXCITEMENT at times gets to most ..Dad would never let gun/bow pointed at anyone empty or loaded and chamber had to be open all the time ,,in fact i missedsome big bucks because dad said WHEN GOING TO MAKE DRIVE WALKING WITH CREW YOUR GUNS ARE TO BE UNLOADED..Boy did we miss big bucks because of unloaded gun BUT no kid was hurt or made boo boo which kids can do .

you know that is still in me I unload gun at truck while others leave them loaded against tree etc ..I think back to all responsibilities that dad had running a buck hunting crew with 12 kids from 12 to 16 ..He had GRIT for sure no radios,no cameras,no gps, very little orange then for clothes, deep snow and -10 degrees, wind blowing and knowing that he had 12 kids in crew some weather so bad you could not see 20 yards .

NO KID RAN TO TRUCK you hunted hard all day and started fire in woods to get warm ..

Sorry got off again very nice deer for sure..

You had a great season! Looks like you might have even traveled out of state.
