Gun season just ended and I didn't set foot in the woods. Deer populations have dropped where I hunt and I didn't feel like taking one with a gun (if I could have taken one) was really the thing to do this year.
Got to looking through this year's fishing pictures and realized I had caught a fish on the fly rod in every month so far, so the challenge was to get one for December! (Year-round fishing where I live is not always possible. The lakes & creeks freeze, but most often are not safe to be on to ice fish.)
I never realized how hard it can be to fool one small bluegill!
Finally got one yesterday to complete the picture!
