Using the crank with your left hand

Post by shafferm »

I decided to try out my idea on using an 11mm hex key to 1/2" socket adapter to let you crank back the bow using your left hand.

The longer 1/2" ratchet wrench handle works great on the left hand side of the crank, as an added bonus you can use the ratchet feature so that you are always staying in the most powerful part of your arm pushing away. With the existing crank it can be a bit of a pain to use on the right side when you transition from pushing to pulling it back towards you. The test bow I tried it on is a Bulldog 400, it did great. I only use it this way with the catch pawl engaged.
