Photo hosting service

Post by Boo »

I'm having quite a few issues with Photobucket. Is anyone happy with a photo hosting site other than Photobucket?

Perhaps Peter can look into a program so we could post photos directly to the forum from our phones or computers.

A person would need to have 10 posts or more to use this feature to deter spammers posting inappropriate photos.

I agree that the Photobucket service has gone from slow to bad.

Whatever they use on the archery talk/crossbow talk web site is the best. Straight off the pc, tablet, phone etc. Eliminate the middle man.

I started using UltraIMG.com to host photos. I run Ad Block, but it isn't needed. There are no ads. Its what photobucket was ten years ago. Oh, and its free.

I gave up on even looking at guys pics that were linked to Phptobucket....just too much trash and loading times.

Many, (if not most) forums on the web have a member photo album hosting area..
CastBoolits is my personal favorite for no good reason...but there are literally hundreds of sites with the same options. These sites are completely free and usually 'add-free"

When (if) I want a pic to disapear from ALL my internet posts, all I have to do is delete the one pic from whatever hosting site I have my pic stored.

This link should open my entire "Excalibur" album on that site... But maybe you would have to be a member to explore it??

Seems this is fairly common thyme when it comes to posting pics...We shouldn't have to visit someone's entire photobucket to see one little picture.

I think the older generation still thinks that one can "wreck" something by pushing buttons... Just ride that pony till she collapses and dies!!! Push the buttons!!

In most cases one can simply click on the IMG addresss, "copy" it and then "paste" it, about anywhere. And you'll get an Actual picture..not some link or mess of letters.

This one required a few extra buttons for me to figure out cause I am kind of stuu...not smart with computers  ...so I only got an address my first try....but managed to capture our forums title, and post it, without any host, with nothing more than mouse clicks...I guess cause the image is already hosted here??

I am slowly switching to www.imgur.com

Very simple to download picts from your computer, then go to the upper right corner of the picture to the down arrow, select Get Shared Links, click, then hit copy for BBCode(Forums), go to where you want on your post, right click, hit copy and your picture is posted, but Only when you either hit preview or submit. I know it is still more steps that really needed, but there is no adds and it is supper fast, not like PB....

Cheers
