Definitely going to check them out. I was hoping they would make a orange one...

Anyone know if Lumenok makes an Omni lighted nock?

As far as I know, the Omni nock is patented to the fine fellas at minus10pointjody5252 wrote:Anyone know if Lumenok makes an Omni lighted nock?

I believe it is 30% brighter. I looked at their site and haven't seen any documentation on duration yet.Bullzeye wrote:Good question, because I found the Lumenocs to last quite a long time on the old version, but more than twice the brightness really interests me.Boo wrote:I wonder if the battries have a shorter duration on the newer lights?

Exactly my thoughts, but they are considerably brighter, but if battery life is shorter at all, I'll take the old ones over the new ones.Doe Master wrote:How the heck can they make them brighter than they already are ?

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
Having mentioned previously, I was late to the "illuminated" party and just started using Luminoks a couple of months ago. I shot a deer with about 5 minutes of legal shooting time left. The brightness of the nock was bright enough to make the exact point of impact a little hard to see. My thought right then was, "I wish these things were a little dimmer". Yet, maybe during mid day my thoughts might be reversed. I've only shot a deer with them at near dark.Boo wrote:Exactly my thoughts, but they are considerably brighter, but if battery life is shorter at all, I'll take the old ones over the new ones.Doe Master wrote:How the heck can they make them brighter than they already are ?
For those of you with more experience with lighted nocks, "Is brighter better with Lumenoks?".

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
At times yes . I have shot on a sunny day with snow . The rest of scene kind of overpowers your eyes . Also brighter might make it easier to spot your arrow under leaf litter .

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
I am kinda' interested in the Stryker Offspring, and half moon or Omni/universal nocks must be used... I am a bit skeptical about the half moon nocks! I checked "minus 10 point" They use a completely different lighted nock. Thanks, J.Boo wrote:As far as I know, the Omni nock is patented to the fine fellas at minus10pointjody5252 wrote:Anyone know if Lumenok makes an Omni lighted nock?

I will stay with my old style greenies for now --- in part cuz i just ordered some more to be ready for next year. This past year I had stuck one in the ground as a marker while recovering a deer ---I was dressing out the deer (it was dark) and suddenly had the ranch manager standing by me --he had been driving by and saw that lighted nock glowing out at the edge of the field an thought something was wrong -- he saw that nock from over 300 yards --- -- thats bright enough for me ---absolutely love them

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
Having never used a lighted nock, and loosing a arrow with every deer shot,, am looking at these now thanks to your comments. Maybe not loose as many.
Re: NEW LUMINOKS
I regret my delay in starting to use them.

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
Mreyner you still can lose arrows . Believe me .
Given the total price of the arrow . That makes the loss even worse .

Re: NEW LUMINOKS
If you are shooting out of an elevated stand they will help. Maybe, maybe not if shooting off the ground. They can punch through and still fly out of sight but your recover rate should go up either way.mreyner wrote:Having never used a lighted nock, and loosing a arrow with every deer shot,, am looking at these now thanks to your comments. Re: NEW LUMINOKS
Watching that arrow fly takes a lot of guesswork out of what happened. In really low light situations it seems to illuminate the tgt or animal as it passes thru. I might be using a little bit of imagination on that last sentence.
