Besides the Apex, which bow would you consider to be...

Post by learn2flyfish »

... a target bow from the Excalibur line over the years. Just pure accuracy. I've heard that the old Exocets were very good. I'd like to know why you think a particular model was better. Was it the limbs, riser design, power stroke or a combination of all these?

If it was an older model, why was it discontinued?

My guess is there are sweet spots or accuracy nodes just like with rifles and airguns. But I may be wrong.

Thanks,

Paul

Do you know anything about it? Draw weight? Riser?

After shooting the M380 & 405 1,000s of times, the Vortex(#200) seems like a target bow. It is incredibly accurate also.

I cut a rail down on a 2008 Vixen. Got a TriggerTech trigger installed. Put on the complete assembly with the forward riser and it is 110 lbs. Put on complete riser with the strait riser it becomes 90 pounds. To bolts changes it back and forth. Hawke scope mounted on it. I love it! Nothing more challenging than going to a 3D shoot and people shooting 380's when you are shooting a 110 pound bow.
