Looks like you spend more money on bleach then Pam Anderson.

And speaking of Pam, shed be pissed if she saw your collection, which is why I am so envious. Good work!!

Jeff,

Could you share with us what hair dye or bleach you used and where you can buy it in Ontario?
I have semi-finished euro mount that I need to bleach.

Yep

Use 40 volume hair dye. This can be bought at any beauty store. You have to know someone with a license to buy goods from the beauty store.

Buy enough to soak the entire skull. I like to soak for a min of 5 days for that ultra white look.. :)

Applying a bit of heat helps to speed the process too.

I buy mine at any beauty salon, I also mix it with toner. The same way you would bleach your hair.

The lady at the salon asked me what I was doing and I told her " how do you think I keep my hair so white"

Wouldn't a cheap bottle of hydrogen peroxide mixed with water do the same thing?

Reg. peroxide is 3%, I would amagine that eventually it might work but would take forever. The 40 volume is 40% you need to wear gloves and mask off anything you don't want to bleach, mainly the horns.
I have a plastic tray I do it in and also put a heat lamp on it.

Skin and remove as much meat as possible.
Boil (outside) the skull with a drop of dawn detergent 4 to 6hrs. Pick away any remaining meat and blast the brain matter out with a hose.

Let dry and soak in 40 volume hair dye for 5 days adding a bit of heat helps too...

It's a bit of dirty work but worth it IMO...

How much of Volume 40 you need to cover the whole scull?
