Can't believe what I didn't see with my own 2 eyes !!!

Post by raydaughety »

:x My Son Tyler and I got into a ladderstand yesterday afternoon about an hour and a half before dark. I was a beautiful afternoon and we saw several deer crossing the road on our hunting club. Well right about that magic time, Tyler (7years old) said " Dad, are you going to shoot him? and pointed to the ground about 20 yards away. I picked up my binoculars and didn't see anything. I asked him several times if he was serious and he said yes, he stand between those 2 pines. I looked again with my binoculars and could not see anything at all :? I warned Tyler that there were times to play jokes but not when we're hunting. About that time I heard the deer walk right by us at about 10 yards but never saw him. Of course when he got down wind, he snorted and I saw his white tail bounding away. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. I'm 38 years old, Is this common as we age ?
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Ray, my 5 year old pointed a deer out to me last year. I never would have seen her, and the other 2 if it had not been for him. They were only 30 yards off.

Ray that's when it pays to have a two man ladder stand. Not only kids have good eyes, but they say women have better eye sight when it comes to spotting game, but get lost easier in the bush.

That event will come up later in life, believe me!!
