Hey Don, I guess I am off the hook this year (sub sandwiches) as in my research on this breed, I have learned that they liked to eat Italian.

Tom

P.S. good job Anthony and Paul will be there as a new dog toy.

Lol! I forgot about that. You know the new pup will definitely be getting the same treatment. :D
Tom, I may be doing some tracking work with the new pup.....tracking a delicious foot long. I'm sure Hubba and KD will be up for the challenge as well.

It should be a simple task to teach this new dog to find lost carbon arrows easily since working dog Belgian Shepherds have amazing tracking skills.
Just don't let them bite into it for safely reasons.

As I told Don , she will make a Great Motion Detecting Burglar Muncher ! LOL .

There is a Dog Trainer out our way that breeds Malinois and Dutch Shepherds ! When I seen the Malinois working I was amazed , beautiful dogs . When I inquired about purchasing one I was told he did not sell them to the general public . :(

I really like the black mask on that breed, it's one one the reasons why I like Great Danes. The 7 year lifespan sucks tho(g.dane)

What is the average for the malinois?

About 12 yrs. I wanted a Shepherd pretty bad, but with the prevalent poor breeding and it's larger size that is responsible for it's shorter life, I chose a Malinois.
The movie "Max" has made the Malinois popular of late, so responsible breeders don't want to sell them as just pets because they want to preserve their bred and not screw them up like what happened to Shepherds. Breeders want them to work and so do the dogs themselves. They're busy critters!
I pick her up this Sunday the 12th. It's going to be a great day!

I have Danes and they are great dogs but you're right not long lived. The oldest of my current three is eight and still pretty healthy. I have seen them as old as eleven but that is ancient. I have had 5 danes so far and zero burglar alarms

The 2 danes I had before my current one lasted 7 years almost to the day. The female went 2 months before the male & I think the male passed away mostly from a broken heart.
The female Dane I have now is 2 already and when she leaves me I'm going to be a mess. We spend 24 hours a day together and is my best buddy. Don, We had a couple of Shepard's when I was growing up and they were awesome dogs. this one girl, I don't know how old she made it because we got her as a rescue but I would guess she was 8 or so. She ended up having hip dysplasia (sp) but was such a gentle girl right up to the end. Her markings were mostly black. Good memories!

One more week until you get her huh? I'm sure it couldn't come fast enough for ya and knowing you, that pup will want for nothing!
