I bought a Caldwell field pod when Colton was younger, worked great except the little TUD had to adjust every knob on it before EVERY shot! And there are LOTS of knobs! So.... It's been in garage for a few years, and I built a small , plain table, with ZERO adjustments on it  We have been happy ever since!

I have both the Trigger Stix Bipod and Tripod. They are both amazing and I highly recommend both. The tripod is more stable, of course, but heavier. The bipod is lighter and takes up less room in a blind so that's what I tend to use more. The adjustment is as easy as opening the legs and pulling the trigger to set the hight to where I want it and releasing the trigger. The legs also move independently so sidehills and uneven ground are a non issue. Normous had a chance to try my Trigger Stix Bipod out on out hog hunt, perhaps he'll chime in with his thoughts. Personally, I highly recommend them.

I use one of these, but I made a height adjustable rotating pad that goes in the middle to rest my bow/rifle on.
The legs fold right up inside the blue part, and has a carrying handle, so it's easy to transport.

Not too long ago I got the Hip Stick rest. I thought it would be ideal for both turkey hunting and blind hunting for deer. It's light weight and straps to your hip. You can use it on your hip or strap it to your leg. I haven't had a chance to actually put it through any testing but I plan on doing a bunch of dry runs with it soon.

Hmmmm, interesting. I must be the cheapest person here. I just use the bottom of the window opening to help me steady the shot.

"Rest"...what is that, but something that only gets in the way of holding it free-hand. If I was shooting a 1000 yds it might consider one, but living in the East that's highly unlikely.

Lou, if you can reach out to 1000 yards I want the bow you're shooting.

With mine or any bow, not a chance!!

I was referring to needing a rest when using a rifle at that range, and even with a rest I wouldn't attempt a 1000 yd shot. Besides in Ontario, unless you're in a bean field, you'd be lucky to get a shot beyond 100 yds.
