No you won't Jeff, take it from me; I'm talking from experience. I've injured my elbows and shoulders over the years, thanks to Excalibur and being too proud to use a crank. Now, as I've gotten older, I've found that my old injuries, (called wear and tear), come back to haunt me more often. However, I don't let that stop me, and still am too stubborn to use a crank.
I suggest you should be too and do the same; after all we won't ache after we die.
Naw, take it from me Jeff, heal those injuries and they don't come back to haunt you. The best gift that you can give to yourself and your family is to take care of yourself. Listen to your doctor first.

For those of you that use the C2 often enough that you get tired of taking it on and off between shots, this might interest you. I took off the big brass knob set screw and replaced it with a flush one. It does take some getting used to but it stays on all the time now and I love it.
I can't remember the exact size but it was a hex head and about 3/8" x 1/2". This is a picture of the Excalibur part. I took it to the hardware store to make sure I got the right size. It also required that the new screw be shaped similarly to the original part. That is the front tapered to a smaller diameter. How much so will depend on the size of the hole in your stock.
Played hockey for 3 months with a torn rotator cuff against doctors advice last winter. Got tennis elbow this winter so I will go see doctor in two weeks after hockey season. Getting old sucks!
