Aluminum arras???

Post by Arrowflinger »

Maybe I already have the answer to my question as going thru the forum arrow combos but I figure I'll ask anyways. Does anyone shoot Magnum XX75 2219s in their crossbows? Reason I'm asking I've been contemplating building my own arras and seemed the price might be right on those . I'm shooting a 350LE. Just curious. Thanks for any advice ,comments or suggestions.

That is what I use. I shot three deer and a bear with the same arrow, just changed broadheads, but the bear bent the arrow. It is done now.

I'm still shooting an old Phoenix, but aluminum is all I shoot.
2215s or 2216s are pretty well matched to the Phoenix (to keep total weight at a level the bow likes best - 380/400gr range). For the shorter arrows for the newer bows 2219s should be a good match.

I shoot 20" 2219 magnums out of my 355.
They shoot great. I shot a buck last year at 15yds who walked up looking at me with this arrow. Buck went down on the spot as I put the 2219 under his chin!

Love me some XX75 2219s. Just found my "lucky" arrow from last December. That same arrow has seen the insides of 5 deer, looking for #6 and more next season.

Another user of Eastons 2219 aluminum arrows. I purchase them at Dunhams Sporting goods here in Michigan for $32 for 6 arrows. Put my 150 grn BoltCutter on the arrow and am good to go. Every deer I shot, the arrow was a complete pass through. Shooting them out of my Axiom.

I use them with my Grizzly, cut down to 17" topped with a 125 gr. Swhacker two blade. Works fine for me.

My 2216s and 2219s always group better with a heavier head ( 150 grain and up) thats how excalibur planned it also . You need the foc. At 30 plus yards with a alluminum bolt. Pick any 150 or above grain head and your on the road to accuracy.a boltcutter and a 2219 make a great pair.
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.
