Thank you everybody .
I have said it before . We are all just a big spread out family here .
We took some camo in for Dad to be dressed in for his cremation .
I also plan on wearing camo pants and a dress shirt with a large embroidered turkey on the back he gave me .
Mom is finally sleeping . I am not there yet .

We will miss him terribly. But he already has a legacy of wonderful next generations following in his footsteps through his sons, now his daughter in law, and his grandson. Soon his granddaughter will join the ranks once she has his latest great grandchild. Good bye Old Buck, we miss you already.

The news was quite the shock. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'll forever be grateful for the opportunity to tag along on some of the hunts with him... shared many laughs and made some great memories. My heart goes out to your family as you go through these difficult days. We will be there on Saturday!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I didn't know him but he certainly raised a fine son. He had to be one hell of a man.

We are making the service into a memorial instead of a funeral . He hated open casket and people having to sit with the deceased . So he is going today for cremation . We plan on playing Amazing Grace first , then Heart of Oak because he enjoyed marching to this song . As he put it you swaggered to it . Then finish with Scotland the Brave . The minister thought this was fitting our choices . He felt it built people up to a joyous farewell for him .
Also he hated stuffy suit and tie . Don`t get me wrong he would dress right up because it was the right thing to do . So we all are dressing appropriate for him . I will be wearing camo pants and a dress shirt he got me with a turkey embroidered on the back .
