Building arrows

Post by Trentco1 »

Tonight I was building doesn't arrows for a buddy, when I got halfway through I realized I didn't put the nocks on (Brain fart) as I was using my Arizona jig
so my question for the expert on here Will there be any flight characteristics different as the vein sits 3/8 of an inch lower compared to if I did put them on?

Heh, I had the same brain fart when I first started fletching arrows.I even put a vane on upside down. I couldn't see any difference in poi out to fifty yards so I left it like that. Still have it. You're good to go. Cheers

Yeah, but when you do any re-fletching of those arrows, they will be different then the others, which could effect POI at longer distances... Can you say consistency?? If I were doing arrows for a friend, I would want them to be the best I could do... I most certainly would do them over!

They'll perform fine. If you refletch for your friend again just pull the nocks.

Some prefer their arrows like that - I'm not one but some do.
