Post by Woodro355 »

Hi, everyone new excalibur owner here have had my matrix 355 about a month and love it. Had to send scope in for replacement took about a week, customer service is top shelf and I know I made the right choice. My other 2 bows are just collecting dust now.

There are plenty of string makers here and they all make very good flemish strings. Different strand count/materials have different results.
I prefer a 32-40 strand string for a softer shot and less string noise, while others prefer a faster string for more fps. Most here stick to one type of material when making strings while others like Boo and 8ptbuck (not sure who else) offer a couple different string material choices.

The Matrix 355 is a very nice bow, congrats and welcome to the group! You can't go wrong with any of the major string makers, just get yourself a string from any of them and you'll be happy.

Congratulations on a great bow and finding this excellent forum

Welcome in deed. You are among a great bunch of guys and some gals even, who appreciate and hunt with the best crossbows being built.

I currently have couple different Matrix models as well as 1 Micro, and can not begin to say all of the good things I have come to love about them... Prior to the models I now have, I have also owned and hunted with a Matrix 355 and they definately do the job with plenty of Style. :D

If you look over and check out my avatar picture, you may notice a decent Roosevelt bull elk who may not agree. as he was taken in 2015 with that Matrix 355 I'm holding in the picture.
