A lower magnification and larger scope tube will both give you a wider field of view.
I really like my VXR 1.25X4 30 mm Hog Scope! It has everything you need in a crossbow scope.

Either one will work well. I am putting a Leupold 2-7X33 heavy duplex scope on my Matrix 350 SE. I've been using the scope on at least 8 muzzleloaders, shotguns and a couple of Excalibers and I like it. Maybe my old eyes or maybe familiarization, in any case, it's the one for me. Thanks to a fellow member for advice, I'm using medium Warne rings on the Matrix 350 SE. They are steel and plenty strong. Good hunting!

Just ordered a VX2 2X7X33 duplex rifle scope for my Bulldog 380 from optics planet. Just did not want to spend the $$$$ for the VXR Leupold scope. It should work great in the early morning and late evening hunts. I also got two dozen Spinal Tapps coming from Jerry in Florida. Hopefully it serves me well in the fall.
