Maine moose lottery!!!

Post by maine hunter »

I've been putting in for our Maine moose permit for a few years now, and tonight I got picked!!! Some people have been waiting over 10-15 years for one!! I will be using my matrix 355 and using my rifle as a very last resort. I've been shooting 20" zombieslayers 110 brass insert. And 125 montecs. Would this set up still be good for s moose? Any input would be great :D

Congrats . I would think the setup will work it only takes 42-65 foot pounds of kinetic energy for moose . I don't want to sound like I know it all but to find out the kinetic energy of your set up take your arrow speed times your arrow speed times your total arrow wt. divide it by 450 240 .

Congrats Kevin, that's excellent! As for your setup, change NOTHING. Moose are heavy boned but still thin skinned. Your setup is about ideal for any North American game. Put one into the boiler room and you're set.....of all the game, moose is my absolute favorite

I have seen those two videos a bunch of times and I can honestly say I've never seen so much visible blood loss from the mouth/nose of an animal before. Those toxics are obviously devastating.
