Lumenok stuck real bad

Post by Prédateur »

Hello
I have a lumenok that is stuck real bad in a shaft. It takes me about an hour with a rubber glove just to turn it off. Now it's off but still in the shaft.I need your advice to remove the lumenok from the shaft without destroying anything. I have the right size lumenok, I suspect the shaft to be out of spec, I have a batch of shaft that give me a lot of trouble.

thanks

My 2 most recent shipments of Lumenoks have been sized just right but prior to that, I had to reduce the diameter of the nocks by carving a very small amount of plastic with a knife. The Danny Miller arrow pullers are great to use on overly tight nocks. If they are fitted well, the Burt Coyote Extinguisher works perfectly.

Thank you for your help Don,
I think the lumenok are sized right because they work very well in all my 18 Inches shaft. The lumenock is stuck in one of those 22 inche shaft that gives us a lot of problems last year. I just want to remove the lumenock and put it back in one of my 18 Inches arrow.

Pull and twist with a Danny Miller arrow puller. If Danny's pullers won't get the nock out, nothing will.

There is any other trick without buying a tool?

I haven't tried it buy a fluted nut remover should work or pair of pliers. Just file the nocks smooth when you're done

I have pulled many with a pair of pliers. Be careful when trimming as you still want them to use pretty heavy finger pressure to turn them off . Trim a tad and check them.

I finally got my lumenok out! I made a home made version of the Burt Coyote Extinguisher using a rubber hose that fit tight on the nock. No need to trim the lumenok it fit perfectly in all my other arrows. Thank you for your help.
